Healthy Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

In Canada, it seems, September and October are all about pumpkin/pumpkin spice/pumpkin pie everything.  As soon as it gets cold, everyone starts craving warm, cozy spices, even in cold drinks like this divine Pumpkin Pie Smoothie.

I know I have mentioned it before, but I am actually deathly allergic to pumpkin, so I always just use mashed sweet potato instead.  Multiple reliable sources have confirmed that my sweet potato trick tastes exactly the same as pumpkin.  So use whichever you prefer and/or have on hand.

If you want to make this smoothie extra creamy and decadent, try freezing your pumpkin or sweet potato in a silicone ice cube tray overnight, or add a little of your favorite clean vanilla protein powder.  So yummy and very Thanksgiving!
