What are brownies without a smooth, glossy, rich layer of silky frosting on top? This decadent fudge frosting is just as creamy and delicious as the original yet it is so much healthier; raw, gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, heart-healthy, vegan and paleo-friendly. It couldn’t be any simpler and only takes about 5 minutes to make. It makes a fantastic fruit dip too- I love it with fresh strawberries and pineapple.
Creamy Chocolate Fudge Frosting
1 cup perfectly ripe avocado (about 2 small avocados)
1/3 C raw Coconut Nectar
1/4 C raw Cacao Powder or carob powder
1 tsp Ground Vanilla Bean Powder
1/4 tsp fine pink Himalayan rock salt
In a food processor combine all ingredients and pulse until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning and use as a frosting (it is fabulous with my Guilt-Free Gluten-Free Brownies) or as a fruit dip with fresh berries, banana and pineapple.
