BC Beauty Antioxidant Juice

I am not typically one to drink straight up fruit juice (I usually stick with mostly veggies and only a little fruit in my juice), but this one is amazing!  Right now the BC cherries and blueberries are absolutely perfect and I couldn’t resist making this deep ruby antioxidant heart-healthy beauty juice.  It is loaded with antioxidants; particularly a type of antioxidant called anthocyanin and even a little bit of resveratrol. 

Cherry Blueberry Juice Ingredients

Anthocyanin is a flavonoid that is found in deep red, purple and blue fruits and veggies and is incredible for your skin.  Interestingly enough, anthocyanins are often responsible for the red coloration of some leaves in the fall when chlorophyll levels start to drop.  It helps to protect your skin from sun damage (which causes 90% of visible signs of aging) while reducing inflammation and the risk of cancer and even appears to reduce pain.  Cherries also naturally contain melatonin, the hormone that regulates our sleep-wake cycle so this juice may help you get your beauty sleep in more ways than one. 

I recommend drinking this juice in a pretty wine glass (it really does look like a glass of red wine) and it is a fun, healthy non-alcoholic party drink (maybe mixed with a little sparkling mineral water) for non-drinkers, pregnant women and designated drivers. Enjoy!

BC Beauty Cherry Blueberry Juice

1 C organic fresh blueberries

1 C organic fresh pitted cherries

1 apple, cored

Run all items through the juicer starting with the blueberries, then the cherries and apple.  Enjoy immediately!  Serves 1
