Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and unfortunately the meal that people are most likely to skip. Did you know that breakfast eaters tend to weigh less, be more productive, have more energy, fewer food cravings and learn better than those who skip this essential meal? Try some of these easy and delicious breakfast ideas to kick start your day in a positive way.
- Smoothie with Vega or Sunwarrior powder, fresh or frozen fruit, greens and water or unsweetened almond milk
- Whole oats either cooked or soaked overnight (in the fridge) with organic low fat unsweetened Greek yogurt, fresh berries, and chopped walnuts
- Egg white omelet or scramble with vegetables, avocado and fruit salad
- 100% whole sprouted grain toast (made without flour) topped with wild salmon, cucumber and avocado; organic low fat goat cheese with sliced tomato and fresh basil leaves; raw unsweetened almond butter with sliced strawberries or other favorite berries; raw unsweetened macadamia nut butter with mango slices and raw sesame seeds
- Overnight chia pudding- in the fridge soak raw whole chia seeds in unsweetened coconut or almond milk, vanilla bean powder and top with fresh fruit
- Vegetable frittata “cupcake” (make ahead, freeze and warm up before running out the door)
- Low fat unsweetened organic Greek yogurt, fruit and raw hemp hearts or ground chia seeds
- Apple or pear slices with unsweetened raw almond, walnut, or pumpkin seed butter
- Breakfast burrito- in a small 100% whole sprouted grain tortilla (made without flour) wrap a scrambled organic omega 3 egg or egg whites, favorite vegetables, black bean salsa and a slice or two of avocado
- Not into breakfast foods? No problem! Have some leftover dinner for breakfast instead. Who says you can’t eat grilled chicken breast, sweet potato and veggies for breakfast?
